A BRIEF PROFILE

Dr. Shilpi Kumari is a Professor in the Department of Education, NERIE (NCERT), Shillong. Her areas of specialization include Pedagogy of Biological Science, Educational Technology and ICT in Education. She has been rendering her dedicated services in teaching, research and academic as well as administrative responsibilities. She has previously served as Head of the Department of Project and Coordinator of the M.Ed. Programme (2023–25) at Kendriya Hindi Sansthan, Agra. With over 10 years of teaching experience in various higher education institutions including Mahatma Gandhi Antarashtriya Hindi Vishwavidyalaya, Wardha and nearly a year’s research experience as a UGC-JRF at RIE (NCERT), Bhubaneswar, she has built a strong academic and professional profile. Her research contributions include numerous papers and conceptual articles published in reputed peer-reviewed journals and edited volumes. She has actively presented her work at several national and international conferences and has coordinated a no. of workshops and seminars. Dr. Kumari has also contributed to e-content development, preparing e-Modules for NRC on Educational Research (Mizoram University) and for IGNOU on Art Integrated Learning and Research and Development in School-based Practices. At present, she is leading a collaborative research project funded by ICSSR, focusing on the Development of an AI-based Tutorial App for the Digital Empowerment of Rural Secondary School Children in North-eastern India. An enthusiastic and highly committed faculty member, Dr. Kumari continues to contribute significantly to the advancement of teacher education, educational technology, and research.
