A Brief Profile

Dr. Balaiada R. Dkhar completed her Post Graduation in Education from NEHU, in the year 2001 and qualified NET, Examination in the year 2000. She was awarded Ph. D Degree in Education from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar. She got her first posting at Regional Institute of Education, Bhubaneswar and joined NCERT on 7th April 2004. Prior to this, she was teaching in a College and also has some teaching experiences at the school level. She served at RIE, Bhubaneswar for almost nine years and also coordinated many in- service training programmes and organized many workshops. Dr. Dkhar was the course coordinator of the International Diploma Course in Guidance and Counselling (IDGC) while working at RIE, Bhubaneswar. She’s presently transferred to NERIE, Shillong and is the Co- coordinator of the Certificate Course in Social Science and the Team Member of the Certificate Course in Inclusive Education for the Disabled (IED). She has some upcoming projects including research project to work out at NERIE. She’s the Joint Editor of the Book entitled Rural Education: Challenges and Strategies. Dr. B R. Dkhar had participated and presented papers in many International, National as well as Regional Seminars and Conferences. She has also attended Orientation and Refresher courses in Education. She has published quite a few numbers of Research Papers in many Educational Journals. She has also contributed one article in the book entitled ICT in Education Vol.1. Her upcoming book entitled Cooperative Learning. A Promising Approach (ISBN: 978- 93-80525-) will be published shortly. She has almost nine years of teaching experience at the PG Level and also has experience in guiding research work/ dissertation of M. Phil, M. A. in Education as well as M. Ed. students.
