A Brief Profile |
Postgraduate in both Linguistic and Anthropology and Ph.D. in Linguistic, Dr. Ch. Sarajubala Devi joined NERIE, Shillong as Lecturer in the year 2006. Before, she joined NERIE, she was teaching Manipuri to adult non-native teacher trainees at North Eastern Regional Languages Centre, Guwahati for five years. While working as guess lecturer in NERLC, Guwahati, Dr. Sarajubala had participated in several workshops for the development of syllabus, materials and evaluation techniques for intensive Course in Manipuri. She has keen interests in participating and presenting papers in conferences and seminars. Dr. Devi has presented more than 7 papers on language and language teaching in such seminars which have later been published in some leading journals of national and international repute. During the last three years of her association with NCERT, Dr. Sarajubala has coordinated 2 research programmes, 5 workshops/developments, 5 trainings/orientations and 2 regional level meetings. Her areas of interest include doing research and training in the area of multilingual education in Multilingual North East India. |
