A Brief Profile

Dr. Seema R. joined as Assistant Professor in Botany at NERIE, NCERT, Shillong, in April 2016. She did her Ph. D. from University of Lucknow. Prior to this she worked as a lecturer in govt. aided colleges at Kerala for two years and also served as Research Fellow at National Botanical Research Institute (CSIR-NBRI), Lucknow. Moreover, she worked as a PGT and also as an academic coordinator, taking up administrative duties in a reputed ISO 9001, QCI’s NABET accredited IB (International Baccalaureate) school at Lucknow. She has also undergone training in IB PYP at Oberoi International School, Mumbai. She has been awarded first position for the teaching aid category at City level Science fair at Regional Science Centre, Lucknow and second position in the Northern India Science fair organized by National Science Centre, New Delhi. Dr. Seema R. has participated and presented many papers in National and International Seminars and Conferences. She is a life member of Indian Botanical Society (IBS)and Indian Association of Life Skill Education (IALSE). She has also published few papers both in Botany and Science Education in different journals. Being in NERIE NCERT, She has coordinated many training, development, research and extension programmes and acted as resource person in several programmes organized by NERIE, SCERT, etc;.
